Fael. A country in the grip of civil war. No one can remember when it wasn’t consumed by greed, or overrun by hate. No one remembers how it started either. History books were rewritten, keeping those who were involved protected. Accounts were completely erased, leaving the common people unaware. So now, everything revolves around the power struggle of the Lorelai, Virato, and Independents. They clash constantly, trying to gain control of the land of Fael .

At one point in time, it was known as the Land of peace. The factions of The Lorelai, all helped govern the land, while the Independents went along doing what ever they pleased, not disturbing anyone. Everything was peaceful. Civilians lived quietly in their homes, going about the daily ups and downs of life. Then there were mysterious killings. The civilians feared for their lives but only the Lorelai died.

No one knows, except the faction members, what caused the war. A select group of the Lorelai, the Senka and Hecate, broke away from the faction and created their own group. They warred for years upon years, leaving destruction wherever they trod, uprooting people from their homes, taking lives, and trying to gain power throughout the land.

And suddenly, it wasn't such a distant problem anymore. The civilians, once unnerved yet tranquil in their houses, were thrown openly into the hands of Death herself. Families were ripped apart, parents slaughtered in front of children, the screams of the neighbors- whether in agony or grief- were no unfamiliar sound. Children who survived were forced to grow up much too quickly, a certain callousness tainting their minds and hearts. Not only had the Lorelai lost control of their country, but they seemed to have no hope of righting the monstrous wrongs commited upon their people and upon themselves.

Seven leaders emerged among the Lorelai, thinking themselves just and true. In order to overcome the shadowed times that had embraced Fael, they allowed some of that same darkness into themselves. They gathered fighters secretly, pushing for the end of the reign of the Viriato. No one was safe. Battles broke out amidst what were once markets or town squares. Innocent blood flowed freely and the Lorelai never once turned back to look.

The Viriato were driven back, forced to the shadows once more. But they could not be forgotten. Their numbers were low and it would have been foolish to continue to wittle away at their forces. So now, the Viriato bide their time. Watching and waiting for an opening at which to strike.

The time has come for the fight to begin again. And in the end, there will be a victor. Everyone must take a side. And fight. Is Fael the rightful land of the Lorelai, who condemned their own to hell while preaching righteousness and justice? Or will it belong to the Viriato who have done nothing to hide their immoral and callous nature while killing billions?

We don't yet know, but one thing is certain. Very few will escape alive.
